Ranger-Led Eagle Viewing Field Trips

Times: 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Bus rides available on a first come first served basis! Spotting scopes will be shared, but good binoculars are suggested.

Place: Meet at the north entrance of Free State High School, 4700 Overland Drive.

Dress appropriately for the weather. Waterproof footwear advised.

Nature and environmental exhibits provided by a variety of organizations working with environmental issues will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with activities for kids of all ages. Come build a bird feeder to take home, make an eagle, dissect an owl pellet and much more!

Presentations in the Auditorium

10:00 a.m.–11:15 a.m. "Nesting Bald Eagles in Kansas" with Mike Watkins and "Eagles and Other Kansas Raptors" with Marty Birrell.
This informative joint program will combine slides, narratives, and live raptors!
1:30 p.m.–2:45 p.m. Missed it in the morning? The program with Mike and Marty
will be repeated for this afternoon presentation.
